GD Tebbutt is an indie children’s author who write sharp, atmospheric stories about truth, courage, legacy and curiosity. He blends sci-fi mystery with grounded human resilience. His work is shaped by years of creative craft, real family experience and a belief that young readers deserve intelligent stories that trust them to do the right thing. Sometimes the truth is more dangerous than lies.
GD Tebbutt’s Story
GD Tebbutt didn’t begin as an author. He spent most of his early career in the digital realm, shaping messages and helping organisations grow. That work taught him how easily marketing can become a lie and how important it was that for trust that it should never cross that line. These lessons became the foundation for the world of his most recent series; Netherdeep Academy.
His personal life shaped the rest. His family have lived with disability for over 20 years. His wife is tetraplegic and his son has Cerebral Palsy and NF1.
He began writing for his son and his cousins. short scenes at first. Then longer tales. Then full books that explored resilience and legacy.
